A quick walkthrough of the Jeanneau 490 has the nav station to port and the aft head/shower to stbd as you enter the companionway. The aft head also makes a perfect day head close to the stairs,
There is one formal aft cabin to stbd with a privacy door to the head. The second aft cabin to port is the "garage" with access to the cockpit, the engine and sail drive, the electrical panels and extra storage. The owner added the extra mattress to make a 3rd cabin.
The salon is large with the dinette on stbd and galley mid-ship to port. Forward the master cabin features a large centerline berth and 3 separate areas for the head - first there is a huge walk-in shower center, a nice lavatory sink and storage/closet space to port and a private head and sink to stbd as you enter the cabin.
2 a/c units and 6 cabins fans keep the cabins comfortable.
A large Samsung TV with a sound bar is mounted on the salon bulkhead. A mast mounted antenna can receive local stations.Galley
The galley is specifically located at the mid-ship location to provide more room at the companionway area and more stability while underway for the chef. It features Corian counter tops, dual stainless steel sinks, a 3 burner Eno stove with oven, a large fridge/freezer in the counter, a separate freezer in the cabinetry, and the unique pop-up microwave. Lots and lots of storage for all the galley ware and provisions. Including a wine storage under the sole.
To aid in cruising and to compensate for the loss of one water tank, there is a Village Marine Little Wonder water maker that is rated at about 180 gallon per day or about 6-8 gallons per hour.
In addition there are 2 x 15# fiberglass propane tanks for the galley.
Finally for the cruiser, there is a Splendide washer and dryer built into the cabinet by the aft head.Engines/Mechanical
The engine is the upgraded horsepower model Yanmar 4JH80 with sail drive. The current hours show only 222. It is located under the companionway with access also through the aft cabins.
One of the water tanks was converted to diesel thus doubling the fuel capacity to 120 gallons.
A Quick bowthruster is include to assist in the tight maneuvering situations.Electrical
The 110V power for the electrical system is supplied from the dock by a 50A cord and when away from the dock there is an Onan 7.5kw diesel generator. A Prowatt 2KW inverter also assists the 110V system when cruising,
The 12V battery system has 2 Cristec 60A and 40A chargers.
Batteries are for the engine, generator, house and bow thruster use.
The controls are located at the nav station on a digital panel with manual breakers and controls located in the aft port cabin in case the digital panel fails.Navigation/Electronics
The navigation instruments are a Raymarine suite including two ES97 Touchscreen displays, P70s Autopilot with AIS, RAY70 VHF at the nav station and a second hand held at the helm, an extra I70s display at the nav station, and radar.
A Fusion stereo system with Bose speakers and subwoofer are in included.
The sails and rig are the optional inmast furling system on a Zspar mast and the standard 125% furling genoa. The boat is rigged for a light air foresail but the sail is not included.
Lines are run to the coach roof and back to the helms. On the coach roof to port is a Harken 46ST electric 2 speed winch for the inmast furling, genoa furling, and halyards. To stbd is a manual Harken 46ST 2 speed winch for the vang and spinnaker halyard.
At the helm, there are 2 Harken 60ST electric "Rewind" winches for the main and genoa sheets.
The mast was ordered at 62'2" high bridge clearance to allow for passage under the bridges on the Intercoastal Waterway.Deck/Cockpit
The deck design is the new Walk-around side decks introduced by Jeanneau in 2018. This allows for passage around the helm vs climbing over the cockpit seats. And as a result the cockpit seats have the new design fold out sunbeds (an option) on both sides of the cockpit. The bimini is designed to furl toward the center to provide shade on either side of the cockpit as desired.
There is a full poly cockpit table with storage and controls for the autopilot, the transom swim platform, the cockpit lights and a 12V socket.
The swim platform is raised and lowered electrically and has a remote control to allow operation from the dinghy.
The ground tackle is a Delta 44' anchor with 100' of chain and 150' of rope rode. A Fortress FX-23 is located aft as a secondary anchor. The Quick windlass can be operated at the foredeck or with a second control at the helm.
And there is a small Quicksilver air-deck inflatable with a Torqeedo outboard as the dinghy.Disclaimer
