Overview

Whisper is perhaps one of the most updated and well kept Sabre 362's on the market today.

One of her unique features that separates her from the pack is the addition of Lithium batteries that can run Air Conditioning off the dock without the need for a generator!

Her current owner is a very knowledgeable 50T commercial captain and has spent the past 10 years of ownership upgrading her systems and keeping her in excellent condition.  If you're searching for a turn key, quality built boat that is robust enough to safely handle offshore conditions yet easy to single hand for a sunset cruise, Whisper should be on your list to see!

Located in downtown Annapolis and easy to see... call the listing broker to schedule your appointment before she goes under contract.

Deck, Hull and Cockpit

The Sabre 362 seamlessly dovetails impressive speed and performance with all the elegance and craftsmanship of a proper yacht. Its a beautiful design that's fast enough to hold her own on the race course and comfortable enough for a couple to cruise. The wider beam is carried further aft than in her predecessors, allowing for a roomy cockpit, wide decks and increased interior volume. Sabre spared no expense to make the 362 design the most comfortable, safe and easy to use boat in her class.

  • Hand-laminated fiberglass hull with balsa wood coring above the waterline. The hull and deck are joined at an internal flange then chemically bonded and thru-bolted every 6".
  • The quality of Sabre’s construction is first rate throughout, minimizes the use of fiberglass liners and modules. Instead, bulkheads and joiner work are attached with fiberglass tabs directly to the hull, becoming an integral part of the structure. This provides better access for inspection, and results in a quieter, more structurally robust build.
  • The 362’s decks are nicely laid out with wide side decks, double lifelines and teak toe rails for security. Movement fore and  aft is easy, even while underway.
  • The large rudder provides excellent control and very quick response to the helm under power or sail.
  • The cockpit is a comfortable 7'5 long, with the 12' beam carried well aft to the integrated swim platform.  The helm is easily reached while seated on either side, and the cockpit table makes for a nice place to enjoy company. Cockpit cushions included.
  • Just a gorgeous boat to admire dockside with a shiny Navy blue gelcoat hull, varnished teak accents and chrome Dorades.

Interior Accommodations

The interior arrangement provides comfortable accommodations with it's two cabin / one head layout that can sleep four adults and seven in a pinch utilizing the salon settees. The quality craftsmanship Sabre is know for is evident throughout - teak and holly floors and cherry joinery are in excellent shape and provide the warmth of a traditional yacht many production boats lack. Cleverly angled bulkheads and the wide beam make the space feel much larger than one would expect on a 36' boat.

The V-berth cabin forward has lots of storage space, a hanging locker, and a seat and vanity with sink and mirror. Aft is a large double berth and hanging locker. There is a large head aft to port with separate shower stall that makes for an excellent wet locker if needed.

In the main salon there is an L-shaped dinette to starboard and settee to port. The dining table hinges from the forward bulkhead and can be stored upright for extra space, or can drop down to accommodate a large dinner party. The starboard settee will also convert to a double berth. The navigation table is aft of the port settee, which doubles as the navigator’s seat.

The starboard L-shaped galley features a double stainless steel sink, propane stove/oven combo, and cold plate refrigeration.

Furniture components and cabinetry are tabbed to the hull, producing a stronger, quieter and more accessible structure.

NOTABLE INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS:

  • 2018 – new Sanitation Hoses. Head is an electric flush with a manual pump backup

  • 2014 –  new Solid Wood Dining Table
  • Several wood panels that have suffered from fading have been re-varnished and look fantastic
  • 12V fans throughout
Sails and Rigging

Sabre's experience in designing sailing yachts for sailors shows wherever you look on the 362. Everything is sized for ease of handling and is placed just where it should be.

  • New Standing Rigging and Lifelines

  • Every year, the sails are removed for the winter and are cleaned, inspected and serviced as needed

  • Keel stepped aluminum mast. This lighter mast causes the boat to heel and to pitch less, improving performance and adding comfort and safety.
  • Shrouds are attached to stainless steel deck chainplate fittings bedded in solid fiberglass and through-bolted to backing plates. Belowdecks, Navtec rod is attached to the lower section of the deckplate; its lower end is bolted to a 4″ wide stainless steel chainplate secured to the hull using 1/2″ bolts.
